Three offer a range of shows that will cover your entertainment
requirements in one complete package. Do you need more than one style
of music but don’t
want the inconvenience of lots of different acts and equipment, and the
problems inherent with this? Is space limited? Do you want the party
to flow seamlessly rather than jump from one thing
to another? Most parties require different moods at different times to
keep the guests entertained and engaged. Andy, Suzi and Kevin have seized
this opportunity to showcase their wide variety of abilities and experience
to create a quite remarkable repertoire of vastly different styles that
come together to make a complete evenings entertainment. The real beauty
of their vast array of repertoire is that you get to choose entertainment
tailored specifically for you. Mix and match different sets to perfectly
complement your party, or select a theme, or simply leave it to them
to suggest the sets that will best suit you and your guests.

To
kick off they can take you through a lounge set of jazz standards ideal
for the dinner setting. Classics such as Autumn Leaves, This Masquerade,
All of Me, It Has To Be You, Wonderful World, Smooth Operator, Let There
Be Love, and many others, create the perfect ambience for dining. They have
performed this set at some of Paris’s most acclaimed restaurants and
cocktail lounges. In fact it was here that Andy was nicknamed AndyBad
by a touring George Benson who was staying at the Champs Elysees Hilton,
for his rendition of the vocal and guitar scat in This Masquerade. They
also have a small PA which enables them to perform this set away from the
main stage, for example where your guest’s are arriving for drinks
before entering the main venue. This set can be anything from an hour during
dinner, to two and a half hours if including a drinks reception.
They usually like to start the dancing with the swinging
big band sound of ‘Ol Blue Eyes’. They say Sinatras’ timing was what
made him different from all the others, so this is one of the areas they
worked on musically to make their swing set authentic. “We don’t
do impressions of Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Marilyn Monroe,
Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald” says Suzi, “We try to capture
the spirit of the music and hopefully make it our own, whilst staying faithful
to the artistes who made these songs so successful.” This adherence
to the fine detail of the music has taken them all over Europe performing
for clients such as Richard Branson, Andrew Lloyd Webber, the Lord Major
and Prime Minister John Major. They have worked in the corporate field
for companies as diverse as ICI, British Airways, Madame Tussauds, Fitness
First and Arsenal F.C. which they enjoyed despite Andy and Kevin being avid
Spurs fans! The swing set can be anything from half an hour to two hours.
As they are such versatile instrumentalists they enjoy performing a set of acoustic songs. This set can be used in different ways, as either an alternative to the jazz dinner/ arrival set, or as a relaxing set at a quieter point in the evening. Spanish hits by The Gypsy Kings are very popular, as are The Eagles and Claptons unplugged sessions, Ricky Lee Jones, and Diana Krall, along with more contemporary material by David Gray, Maroon 5 and Travis. This set is very popular with an audience who want to sit down and listen and watch the three of them perform. They often perform this set at a point in the evening when the audience wants to chill out and relax. Anything from short twenty minute sets at the end of a frenzied dance session to two hours complete.
The dance sets have all the chart toppers you need
for a kickin’ party.
These sets perform the backbone of the evening’s entertainment. The
hits of Robbie Williams, Kylie, Ricky Martin, The Mavericks, Abba, 60’s
Motown soul, 70’s disco, classics such as Ain’t No Stopping
Us Now, We are Family, My First My Last My Everything, Dance the Night Away,
Love Train, I’m a Believer, Carwash…These sets will keep your
party dancing all night long. The one hour 70’s disco theme is very
popular and makes a real hoot with the flair’s, big hair and high
heels. They have over four hours of material to choose from, although
sets are usually a couple of one-hour spots, unless you have a super fit
audience and literally want to dance the night away! See the comprehensive
set list and make your own choices.
For those who prefer something more powerful they put together their rock
guitar tribute, tipping their caps (or bandannas) to heroes such as Jimi
Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, George Benson, Gary
Moore, and Mark Knopfler. Their guitar tribute evolved out of a love of
the instrument and an admiration of these masters. Their renditions of classic
songs are guaranteed to get every member of the audience reaching for their
air guitars and thumb Saxes, and joining THREE in full pose for some awesome
solos. The sheer passion and energy evoked in this set is itself quite mesmerising.
With a great light show to enhance the atmosphere this set works well towards
the end of an evening. This set is up to an hour and a half.
In between sets, appropriate background music is
played, or a disco of specially selected songs to complement their
own repertoire to complete the evening’s full entertainment package. They record all of the backing
tracks they perform to at their Stridin’ Edge Studios using some of
the countries top musicians, and on more than one occasion using friends
who played on the original recordings. They reproduce them live with
a state of the art PA that captures the quality of the studio rather
than just ear crushing volume. This PA is suitable for audiences of up
to 500. They have a second smaller PA for performing guest arrivals away
from the main stage. They use a lighting system that creates the perfect
ambience and atmosphere for each of their sets, adding the essential
quality needed for any special occasion. Lighting can transform a venue
into something spectacular, so they have spared no expense on staging their
show. This includes flame boxes, disco scanners, various ambient liquid
light waterfalls and oil lights, computer controlled stage lights and a
variety of effects that enhance visually and add to the excitement of their
shows. A radio microphone is available for speeches or any special announcements
you may have to make.
