Like many things in life it was a chance meeting some seven years ago
that lead to a friendship and then a band that would eventually take
the three of them in front of audiences all over Europe. It was at the London
Palladium where Suzi, who was performing with the Australian girl group ‘The
Singettes’, met Andy and Kevin who were playing with the acclaimed ‘Soul
Survivors’. The rapport was instant. They quickly realised they shared
the same musical likes and ambition to form a band that would perform
a wide variety of material which would include jazz, big band swing, acoustic,
dance and rock. Although they did not know it at the time this would
take years of disciplined rehearsals and work to fine tune what has now
become the THREE show.
Suzi began her career by winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy, she
then went on to win an Honours degree in Music and Drama at the Mountview
Theatre School.
She has the enviable ability of being able to play tenor, alto and soprano
saxophones as well as clarinet and piano.
Her many appearances on television include ‘French and Saunders’, ‘the
Kenny Everett Show’, ‘the Mike Yarwood Show’, ‘Little
and Large Specials’, and ‘Allo Allo’.
Her stage appearances include ‘the Royal Variety Show’, ‘Allo
Allo’ at the London Palladium, and ‘Buddy’ at the Apollo
theatre.
She has worked with a number of leading bands including ‘Roxy Music’ and ‘Def
Leppard’.
Suzi can be seen regularly modelling on ITV’s ‘This Morning’.
Andy has been playing guitar in bands since he was 13 years old. He left
school at 17 to tour Scandinavia where he had a hit album with fellow
schoolmates ‘Rekord’.
He returned to London where he became a session guitarist working for
acts such as ‘The Thompson Twins’, ‘Hazel Dean’, ‘the
Brand New Heavies’, and ‘Stock and Aitken’.
He played on many television theme tunes and adverts including ‘Running
Wild’ for ITV and the Cadburys ‘Flake’ ads.
He met Kevin in 1986 when they formed ‘TroubleTown’, which went
on to have minor chart success but critical acclaim for their album ‘Shine’.
He then went on to compose and produce music for the Channel 4 animated
film ‘Mama Lou’.

Kevin began playing bass and guitar in his early teens and like Andy left
school to tour Europe with his mates in the back of a van.
After the usual induction to life on the road he returned to London where
he joined a number of bands before becoming a musical director for ‘Tracie
Young’ of ‘The House that Jack Built’ fame.
Kevin went on to record and tour with Paul Weller’s ‘Style Council’, ‘Spandau
Ballet’ (whilst the absent Kemp brothers were making the film The
Krays) and then on to record an album in Los Angeles with ‘Tony Hadley’ after
he and the band went their separate ways.
Kevin has performed both live and on TV shows with many established artistes
but could be seen more recently helping to provide ‘Kylie Minogue’ with
a tight bottom end!
